Stitched

Stitching is a form of mark making that not only adds a textural surface but also is a deliberate and slow act of expression. One series seen here explores microscopic samples of biological systems. Additional work explores the sculptural form in relationship to the body and using the stitched mark as a means of attaching and connecting diverse materials together such as handwoven newspaper and sewing notions.
